Explore some of Crete’s most important historical and cultural sites on a private full-day trip from Heraklion.

Start the day with a visit to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, home to many of the island’s most important Minoan artifacts, before continuing to the nearby Venetian Walls and historic center of Heraklion.

You’ll then visit Knossos Palace, the center of the ancient Minoan civilization and one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece. Explore the site at your own pace and learn more about the myths of King Minos, the Labyrinth and the Minotaur.

After Knossos, continue to Lyrarakis Winery for a wine tasting experience featuring local Cretan grape varieties and wines produced in the surrounding countryside.

The final stop is the traditional village of Archanes, where you’ll have free time for lunch, walking through the village streets or relaxing at a local café before returning to your hotel.
