Spend a full day in the heart of the Canadian Rockies exploring two of Banff National Park’s most iconic alpine lakes: Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Your experience begins with pickup from a designated location in Banff or Canmore, where you’ll meet your guide and small group before heading into the park.
As you travel along the scenic Bow Valley Parkway, your guide shares stories about the surrounding peaks, local wildlife, and the history of the area—setting the tone for a relaxed, nature-focused day. The pace is unhurried, with plenty of time built in to enjoy the landscapes rather than rush between stops.
Your first stop is world-famous Moraine Lake, where turquoise water rests beneath the dramatic Valley of the Ten Peaks. You’ll have two full hours to explore at your own pace: walk the shoreline, climb the Rockpile for the classic viewpoint, take photos, or simply soak in the setting.
Next, continue to Lake Louise, equally stunning and offering a different perspective of the Rockies. With another two hours here, you can stroll the lakeshore, relax by the water, or head onto nearby trails for a bit more exploration. Throughout the day, light snacks and coffee are provided to keep you fueled, and an optional lunch can be arranged in advance for extra convenience.
After a full day of alpine views and fresh mountain air, you’ll return comfortably to your original pickup location in Banff or Canmore.
