商品説明
This experience honours the legacy of Oskar Schindler and the people he saved, showing how his everyday decisions—and extraordinary courage—became a matter of survival for more than a thousand individuals. His story unfolds within the broader history of Kraków under Nazi occupation, where humanity and moral strength could still emerge despite fear and oppression.
Accompanied by an experienced guide, you’ll explore Schindler’s Factory Museum, one of the city’s most powerful historical sites. Through the exhibition “Kraków under Nazi Occupation 1939–1945,” you’ll discover authentic artifacts, personal belongings, and reconstructed streets that reveal the harsh realities of wartime life. Here, Schindler employed Jewish workers and used his influence and resources to protect them from deportation, giving rise to stories of survival that continue to resonate today.
The tour then continues into the former Jewish Ghetto in Podgórze, where preserved fragments of the ghetto walls stand as stark reminders of confinement and separation. Walking through these original streets, you’ll gain insight into the daily lives and struggles of those forced to live within its boundaries. At Ghetto Heroes Square, now marked by the Memorial of Chairs, you’ll learn about its role as a site of deportations and its transformation into a place of remembrance.
Across the square stands the Under the Eagle Pharmacy, where pharmacist Tadeusz Pankiewicz and his staff risked their lives to support ghetto residents by providing medicine, shelter, and acts of compassion. These powerful stories of courage and resistance offer a deeper, more personal understanding of Kraków’s wartime past and the enduring impact of individual moral choices.
