商品説明
Discover Amsterdam through conversation, art and lived experience on the Mama Baranka Tour, a local artist-led walking experience through the historic city centre.
Guided by sculptor Nelson Carrilho and filmmaker Robin van Erven Dorens, this dialogue-led walk invites you into a shared exploration of the city’s past and present. Rather than following a single storyline, the tour opens space for reflection, questions and conversation as you move together through public space.
The experience begins at Nelson Carrilho’s atelier in the Jordaan and unfolds through streets, monuments and everyday places that reveal layers of meaning often overlooked. Along the way, you’ll engage with stories of prosperity and progress, as well as histories of exclusion, violence and resistance that have shaped Amsterdam.
The walk concludes at the Mama Baranka sculpture in the Vondelpark, a powerful work connected to the memory of Kerwin Duinmeijer, whose murder in 1983 became a turning point in the Dutch public conversation on racism and responsibility.
Along the route, dialogue touches on different communities, migrations and histories that have shaped Amsterdam, inviting participants to reflect on how public space, memory and responsibility intersect in everyday city life.
This is not a sightseeing tour, but an invitation to slow down, listen and enter into dialogue with the city, with others and with yourself.
