Get ready for a fun and unique walking tour led by a passionate local who knows Amsterdam inside and out! On this 2-hour adventure, you’ll explore how Amsterdam grew from a small medieval settlement into one of the most liberal cities in the world. The city’s open-minded attitude has deep historical roots, and you can still feel that tolerant vibe everywhere you go.
You’ll dive into the stories behind the UNESCO-listed canal belt, touch on the impact of WWII, discuss being a hub for coffeeshops and prostitution and, of course, talk about the bikes—why there are so many and what happens to the ones that "disappear"!
And because no Amsterdam experience is complete without a treat, you’ll get to enjoy a delicious stroopwafel, the ultimate Dutch cookie, midway through the tour.
Along the way, our guide will share insider tips, showing you the hidden spots locals love and helping you avoid the tourist traps. Plus, there are plenty of stunning photo spots to capture memories of your trip!
These two hours will fly by as you stroll through the city, laugh, and soak in the relaxed atmosphere. By the end, you’ll have a better understanding of Amsterdam and what makes it so special. This isn’t just a tour—it’s a true local experience!
