商品説明
Prague's Lesser Town is one of Europe's most beautiful neighbourhoods, yet most visitors only pass through it on the way to the Castle. This tour asks you to stop, slow down, and look behind the walls. You'll begin in the Wallenstein Garden - one of Prague's best-kept secrets and entirely free to enter. Built in the 1620s by a general who demolished 23 houses to satisfy his ambitions, this grand Baroque garden is roamed by peacocks and anchored by an eerie dripstone wall that feels like stepping into another world. From there, a hidden door in a plain white wall leads into Vojan Gardens, Prague's oldest walled garden, founded by Carmelite monks and unknown to most visitors. The route then follows the Čertovka - the Devil's Stream - a narrow medieval canal where a working watermill still turns beside the water. You'll pass the Kafka Museum on the riverside, then reach the Lennon Wall: a stretch of stone where Czech students painted Beatles lyrics as quiet resistance against communist rule in the 1980s, and which the authorities could never permanently erase. On the 3-hour route, the tour continues to Maltese Square - one of Malá Strana's most elegant and least-visited squares - and the Church of Our Lady Victorious, home to the Infant Jesus of Prague, a tiny wax figurine with a global pilgrimage following and over 70 royal robes donated from across the world. The tour ends at the Vrtba Garden: a UNESCO-listed Baroque terraced garden hidden behind an unmarked door on Karmelitská street, with views over the neighbourhood's red rooftops that are among the finest in the city. We usually don't go to paid sites. The tour ends on Kampa Island (2-hour route) or at the Vrtba Garden terraces (3-hour route) - both perfect spots to linger, take photographs, and let the city sink in.
