Prague Castle is the largest castle complex and a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is a truly impressive place with wide courtyards, picturesque gardens and palaces. Although its size is huge, you will walk through the main and most important parts that form the essential impression of the whole place, at your own pace:
1) St. Vitus Cathedral: Visit the largest church building in the Czech Republic, the gothic cathedral, that is an essential part of Prague Castle. Its interior includes artistically valuable stained glass windows, tombstones of Czech kings and architectural treasures. 2) Old Royal Palace: Admire the residence of the rulers, a representative space, as well as the seat of the court office, and the scene of many historical moments. 3) St. George's Basilica: Discover one of the oldest preserved monuments in Prague. In contrast to the splendour and ornateness of the late Gothic cathedral, here you will discover the world of the early Middle Ages and learn about the legends associated with the patrons of the Czech land. 4) Golden Lane: Stroll down the unique and picturesque alley, shrouded in many legends.
After the tour, you have the opportunity to visit other areas of the Prague Castle, such as museums, exhibitions and galleries. The surrounding gardens also invite you to visit, with their beautiful views of Prague. The tours ends in the grounds of Prague Castle, on the top of the Old Castle Steps.
