Beginning at the Palace of Holyroodhouse - her royal residence - this tour traces Mary's story through the heart of the Old Town, ending at the iconic Edinburgh Castle, where her son, James VI and I was born. As you walk, you'll explore the key moments of her turbulent, six year reign, from political upheaval to personal scandal and gain insight into the woman behind the crown - her strength, her struggles and the legacy she left behind. This relaxed-paced tour is designed for comfort and enjoyment, with stops at some of Edinburgh's most historic landmarks, including John Knox House, Mercat Cross and the magnificent St Giles Cathedral. The tour concludes next to the castle, offering a fitting end to Mary's story. Please note, this is an outdoor tour and does not include entry into any of the sites visited. Also please do not follow Google Maps to find me. The meet up location is not the Physic Garden, Queen Street, it is at the bottom of the Royal Mile, in front of the Palace.
