Join "La Strega del Cardo" for an authentic tour in the heart of Edinburgh. Our journey begins on the Royal Mile, at the foot of the majestic St Giles Cathedral, where we will lay the groundwork for understanding the identity of the Scottish people and the medieval origins of the capital. As we move through the most iconic spots in Old Town, we will reconstruct what the city once looked like: a labyrinth of crowded alleyways and forgotten stories. We will explore the golden age of the Scottish Enlightenment, discovering the great minds that brought cultural "light" back to the city, contrasting them with the darker tales of public executions and popular legends. The route winds through Gothic architecture and secrets kept in the "Closes", revealing Edinburgh's dual soul: cultured and rational, but deeply connected to the supernatural. The last part of the tour will take us inside Greyfriars, the most famous cemetery in the world. Thanks to my special permit (Permit Cemetery), we will visit this monumental place suspended between tender stories of love and loyalty — such as that of the legendary Bobby — and the magical connections that inspired the Harry Potter series. We will end on a high note, shrouded in mystery, reaching the famous Black Mausoleum, where history gives way to thrills and the inexplicable. A unique experience.
