商品説明
Until the time of National Socialism, Leipzig was one of the most important centers of Jewish history in Germany. After centuries of influence, the destruction in the Shoah, and the restart from 1945, the community developed dynamically again after reunification. Today, Leipzig is once again the largest Jewish center in Saxony and Eastern Germany.
The tour takes place exclusively in the Brody Synagogue. It concisely and vividly conveys the history of the building, the development of the community, and central aspects of Jewish religion and culture.
It's the only synagogue in Leipzig that survived the 1938 Reichspogromnacht and is now used again as a house of worship and community center. The tour offers a direct, authentic insight – clear, historically sound, and without any whitewashing.
