Sodankylä: Reindeer Farm Visit, Sleigh Ride, & Lunch｜Finland

Your adventure begins at our office in the heart of Sodankylä, where we provide you with all the necessary winter equipment to ensure warmth and comfort. Together with your friendly Arctic Wonders guide, you will then travel to a charming local reindeer farm.
Upon arrival, you’ll receive a warm welcome from your hosts and be introduced to the magical world of reindeer herding. During a guided tour of the farm, you will hear fascinating stories about reindeer, daily life, and the traditions of the Sámi people. You’ll have plenty of time to feed the reindeer and capture unforgettable photos.
Next, enjoy an unforgettable reindeer sleigh ride of approximately 3 km (about 30 minutes) — a true taste of this traditional Lappish way of travel through the snowy landscape.
After the sleigh ride, we return to the farm to warm up in a traditional wilderness lávvu. Here, you’ll enjoy a hearty lunch by the fire, including warm soup with homemade bread, hot berry juice, freshly brewed coffee, and sweet buns. As you relax, your host will share stories and insights about reindeer and life in the Arctic.
We then return to Sodankylä, bringing home unforgettable memories of Lapland and its living traditions.
