Junidanya Main Store is located in an alley off Hanamikoji Street in Kyoto, and it is the birthplace of Japanese shabu-shabu. The unique name of the restaurant was chosen by the first owner, Seinosuke. Seinosuke loved Kabuki, and his favorite play was 'Chushingura,' which consists of eleven acts. The owner wanted guests visiting Kyoto to enjoy a meal at his restaurant after watching the eleven acts of 'Chushingura' at the Minamiza Theatre. That is the reason behind the name 'Junidanya' (Twelve Acts House). At Junidanya Main Store, the shabu-shabu is prepared using a copper pot designed by the first owner. They select premium Kuroge Wagyu sirloin, paired with their homemade secret sesame sauce, allowing you to experience a rich and fragrant flavor. The interior of Junidanya Main Store features works by several Japanese masters: for example, there is a tiger print by woodblock artist Shiko Munakata on the sliding doors, and works by potter Kanjiro Kawai in the private rooms. Furthermore, the restaurant is filled with many other folk crafts and antiques, allowing visitors to appreciate Japanese folk art while enjoying their meal.

- Minors over 12 years old need to reserve the same package as adults when entering the store.
- Children are allowed in the store, but there are many decorations in each room of the store. If children walk around randomly or encounter the possibility of damage to the store decoration, the merchant will refuse to enter the store. Therefore, please ensure that children will eat in accordance with the rules before accepting reservations with children.
- Our store does not accept reservations and admission for children under 6 years old. If there are children under 5 years old (inclusive) on site, no service or refund will be provided. Please note.
- Seats cannot be assigned and will be arranged by the store receptionist on the day.
- The set menu is for reference only and the ingredients may change due to the season. The actual meal content is subject to what is available on that day.
- Please go to the merchant on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the reservation may be canceled by the merchant, and any fees paid by the customer cannot be refunded. If you arrive more than 15 minutes early, the merchant may refuse the guest to enter the store in advance and wait.
- Please dress appropriately and do not dress too casually (such as slippers, sandals, vests, shorts, suspenders, miniskirts, etc.). Pay special attention to the extremely strict dress requirements for French and Western restaurants. Male guests must wear a shirt with a collar on the upper body. or jacket, and the lower body must be worn with trousers (no jeans) and socks.
