- Park Introduction -

Shoushan Zoo in Kaohsiung is the largest public zoo in southern Taiwan, providing multiple functions and services for families, outdoor education, ecological science popularization, and sightseeing for people in the greater Kaohsiung area and the wider central, southern, and eastern regions of Taiwan. The zoo is divided into six zones: the Asian Zone, the American Zone, the African Zone, the Primate Zone, the Taiwanese Native Animal Zone, and the newly opened "Children's Ranch." The layout is well-planned, and the Children's Ranch is the first ranch-style exhibition area in Taiwan, combining adorable and docile animals with a pastoral atmosphere. Under the guidance of staff, children and adults can get close to, touch, and feed the animals, allowing visitors to experience the leisurely atmosphere and fun of a ranch in the greater Kaohsiung metropolitan area.

• Opening hours:
  Tuesday to Sunday 09:00 - 17:00 (Last admission 16:30)
  The park is closed on Mondays and Lunar New Year's Eve. If Monday falls on a national holiday, the park will remain open as usual.

• Zoo Bus operating hours: First departure 09:20, last departure 16:20. Closed every Monday and Lunar New Year's Eve, but open as usual if Monday falls on a public holiday.
  Ride time: Each shuttle bus takes about 15 minutes. On weekdays, the bus departs when it is full. On holidays, the bus departs every 20 minutes.
  Pricing: Children under 2 years old or infants held in arms ride for free. Children under 120 cm tall must be accompanied by an adult.
• Children's ranch feeding experience open hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 and 14:00. Hay will be distributed on site, while supplies last.
  Experience content: The hay provided on-site is only for feeding the Boer sheep in the children's pasture, and please follow the relevant regulations as instructed by on-site staff and announced.

• Light Is Café
  Kaohsiung Shoushan Zoo has transformed the former iron cage home of chimpanzees into the pure white building "Light Room Cafe," which emphasizes perspective-taking and allows humans to enter the cage to experience the perspective of the animals. It offers Chinese, Italian, and Thai cuisine, and the pure white space with natural lighting is perfect for taking photos.
