Our tour guide, Jason, picked us up from the hotel meeting point on time. There were only 11 of us, and the mid-sized tour bus was very comfortable. During the trip, Jason provided timely introductions to the sights and the local Australian economy and lifestyle, which is one of the biggest benefits of traveling with children on a local tour. We first visited the Sydney Zoo, which isn't large, but it has all of Australia's unique animals. The area for seeing koalas was very close, and taking photos with the koalas was beautiful. The staff even brought a sleeping koala for everyone to take pictures. The Blue Mountains National Park is magnificent, the walking trails are well-maintained, and the rural conservation is interesting. The three shuttle bus experiences were fantastic, with each staff member providing different and interesting commentary. Jason arranged for a less crowded time, so we didn't have to wait long for a shuttle bus. For lunch, Jason took everyone to a Chinese restaurant (at our own expense), which was very good value for a tourist area. Finally, we went to Lula town to eat the popular ice cream, then passed through Olympic Park before taking a boat from the pier. The overall itinerary went very smoothly; Jason was flexible with the meeting times, and everyone had a great time.
