Our tour guide, Jason, picked us up from the hotel meeting point on time. There were only 11 of us, and the mid-sized tour bus was very comfortable. During the trip, Jason provided timely introductions to the sights and the local Australian economy and lifestyle, which is one of the biggest benefits of traveling with children on a local tour. Sydney Zoo isn't large, but it has all of Australia's unique animals. The area for seeing koalas was very close, and the photos with the koalas were beautiful. Before taking photos, the tour leader gave each of us a commemorative coin, which, along with the photos, made everyone very happy. The Blue Mountains National Park is magnificent, the walking trails are well-maintained, and the rural conservation is interesting. The three shuttle bus experiences were fantastic, with each staff member providing different and interesting commentary. Jason arranged for a less crowded time, so we didn't have to wait long for a shuttle bus. At noon, Jason took everyone to a Chinese restaurant for lunch at our own expense; for a tourist area, it was great value. Finally, we went to Lula town for some popular ice cream, then passed through Olympic Park before taking a boat from the pier. The overall itinerary went very smoothly; Jason's flexible handling of the meeting time ensured everyone had a great time.
