A fantastic experience! 💙 The president and beautician were both very professional. We were able to choose our own kimono, obi, hair accessories, etc., and the beautician offered expert advice if we were unsure what to wear. 👍🏻 The clothing itself was incredibly detailed, and the way it was worn followed traditional methods. More importantly, there were also many options for men's clothing! I'm so happy my first kimono experience was so perfect! 😻
For my 2026 cherry blossom viewing trip, I flew directly from Taiwan to Hakodate. I bought ferry tickets at Kkday first, and then exchanged them for boat tickets directly at the pier – it was really convenient. The cherry blossoms at Hirosaki Castle in Aomori were in full bloom at the same time.
Driver was very kind, I was suprised it was a lady driver. Telling us hours of stay acceptable in each destination. Though I realized that 10 hours was not enough to cover all destinations. We made it just in time.
Two suggestions: 1. Arrive at the cafe above before 4 PM to have lunch and wait for the sunset, especially in winter when it's windy and cold outside. 2. Avoid peak hours when going up the mountain; it's recommended to go after 7 PM to avoid the crowds taking the cable car down.
