<What Is the Grand Sumo Regional Tour?>

The Grand Sumo Regional Tour is a series of sumo events held across Japan, separate from the official tournaments. Sumo wrestlers visit various regions to interact with local communities, allowing everyone to enjoy the traditional Japanese culture of Grand Sumo up close.

At these regional tours, you can not only watch powerful matches but also observe public practice sessions up close and enjoy unique, valuable interaction events such as handshake sessions with the wrestlers.

The close proximity to the wrestlers and the relaxed atmosphere, which differ from the official tournaments, are also highlights of the regional tour. It is a highly recommended event even for those watching Grand Sumo for the first time!
