You have the option to take a horseback ride across these green expanses, soaking up the panoramic beauty and crisp mountain atmosphere. Alternatively, you could visit the Volcano Museum which focuses on Aso Volcano, exhibiting the region's topography, geology, and wildlife.

Stand on the brink of Nakadake and peer into the smoking chasm of the active Aso Volcano - a testament to the raw and untamed power of nature.

  • Meeting point description: Meet at LAWSON Oriental Hotel Fukuoka Store. Your guide will be holding a yellow flag with the "GOGODAY" logo at the meeting point. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the start of the experience.(4-23 Hakataekichuogai, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, 812-0012 Japan)

  • Extra fees to be paid on-site:Kumamoto Castle admission: 800 yen

  • Volcano Museum admission: 1100 yen

  • Optional horse riding: 5 minutes for 1500 yen; about 20 minutes for 4000 yen

  • Crater shuttle bus: 1400 yen

  • Optional hot spring fees: prices vary by establishment, typically a few hundred yen

  • Know in advance:The night before departure, the local tour operator will email you detailed information including meeting time, location, guide info, and vehicle details

  • Due to the limitations of the vehicle space, each person is limited to one piece of luggage. Please inform the local operator in advance if you have luggage. You'll find the contact details in the voucher after booking

  • If Aso Volcano issues a notice prohibiting entry, the itinerary will be adjusted according to the situation on the ground. If the crater is closed, the time at Kusasenri will be extended to 90 minutes

  • Depending on the weather and road conditions, the guide will adjust the itinerary and timing of the tour
