Product Info

Lucca to Pisa E-Bike Tour — from the city walls to the Leaning Tower
Start your ride in the heart of Lucca, one of Tuscany’s most charming walled cities, and end your journey in the world-famous Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa. This self-guided e-bike adventure combines history, countryside landscapes, and easy cycling along riverside paths and quiet country roads — about 27 km of pure Tuscan beauty.
Once the tour is booked, you can come to our rental point to collect the bikes, so you can start with our virtual guide, which will accompany you step by step.
You’ll start with a short loop ride on top of Lucca’s ancient city walls, a UNESCO-listed masterpiece offering a 360° view over the city’s towers and gardens. From there, you’ll follow the Serchio River cycle path, a peaceful route that winds through the Tuscan countryside, passing vineyards, farmhouses, and small medieval villages.
The trail continues west toward Pisa, with the Leaning Tower gradually appearing on the horizon — your perfect reward after a pleasant and relaxing ride. Once in Piazza dei Miracoli, you can park your e-bike safely and take time to explore one of Italy’s most iconic landmarks, including the Cathedral, the Baptistery, and the famous Campanile.
If you wish, you can enjoy a light lunch or snack in one of the local cafés nearby before catching the train back to Lucca — just a 30-minute ride — to conclude your day of exploration.
How the tour works: this route is easy, smooth, and mostly flat, suitable for all riders with basic cycling experience. Ideal for couples, families, and small groups who want to experience Tuscany’s landscapes and historic cities at their own pace.
What to expect: ride above the ancient walls of Lucca, follow the Serchio River through the countryside, and arrive at the stunning Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa — where history, art, and nature meet on two wheels.
