Know Before You Go: Route: 90% of the tour is on the Appian Way's ancient Roman paving (basolato), with no public car traffic (only resident access). Only two brief road crossings are required: once to enter the Aqueduct Park, and once between Tor Fiscale and Caffarella Parks.
