Providing bikes would require spending at least 30 minutes on various adjustments. That’s 30 minutes less for the actual tour — and we’d rather offer you the fullest experience possible.

More freedom along the route
Using your own bike allows us to end the tour somewhere other than the starting point. This way, we can cover a wider area and give you the freedom to go wherever you like afterward.

Our guided tours are specially designed for travelers exploring with their own bicycles.

Reminders

  • Not Suitable For: People who can't ride a bike

  • Know Before You Go: This tour requires prior cycling experience and your own bike (rentals are available from hotels or local shops)

  • Know Before You Go: App-based rentals are discouraged, as some providers issue fines if bikes are left in unauthorized locations

  • Know Before You Go: Before renting a bike, we highly recommend checking its general condition, particularly the brakes and the chain (rusty chains are a definite no-go)

  • Know Before You Go: Helmets are recommended

  • Know Before You Go: Beware of the sharp rise in electric bike thefts in the Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland). Campervans are often targeted. Bikes mounted on the back or roof are easy to steal. Use two good locks (U-lock + chain)
