Wuling Farm offers different charms throughout the year. Spring (around February to March) is the cherry blossom season, with a romantic cherry blossom tunnel attracting many visitors. The summer offers a cool climate, ideal for escaping the heat and admiring alpine plants. Autumn (around October to November) is the best time to see maple, ginkgo, and dawn redwood, with the entire valley painted in vibrant colors. In winter (around December to January), there's a chance to witness snow and experience the beauty of a world covered in white. We recommend choosing the season that best suits your personal preferences.
Must-visit attractions at Wuling Farm include the 'Cherry Blossom Tunnel' and 'Garden Plaza' near the Wuling Hotel, with scenery that changes with the seasons. You can also visit the 'Tea Garden Trail' to enjoy the tea plantation scenery and sample high-mountain tea. Furthermore, 'Qijiawan Creek Fish-Viewing Platform' is an excellent spot to observe the protected Formosan salmon. Stroll along 'Pine Forest Boulevard' to breathe in the fresh forest air and immerse yourself in nature, experiencing the vitality of mountains, water, and rivers.
There are primarily two ways to travel from Taipei to Wuling Farm. Driving requires navigating mountain roads, and during specific holidays, you may need to apply for a permit, which can be quite an effort. If you wish to avoid the hassle of transportation planning, you can book a day tour through KKday. This tour offers private car transfer services from Taipei, allowing you to reach Wuling Farm comfortably and directly, saving you the trouble of driving yourself or transferring to public transport, and enabling you to focus on enjoying the scenery along the way.
If you opt for a day tour, it is generally recommended to allocate about 6 to 8 hours within the Wuling Farm area for a more complete visit to the main attractions such as the Garden Plaza, Cherry Blossom Tunnel, tea gardens, and fish-viewing platform. This allows ample time to slowly appreciate the seasonal scenery, take photos, and enjoy the tranquility and beauty of nature. If you wish for a more in-depth experience or to stay overnight at the farm, a two-day, one-night trip is recommended.
Wuling Farm is open for free entry on weekdays. However, if you plan to drive during special peak periods like the cherry blossom season, traffic control and vehicle quotas are usually implemented, requiring a pre-application for a permit. If you join a group tour, you won't need to handle entry applications or permits yourself, as tour buses are arranged by the travel agency, allowing you to enter the farm with ease, avoiding complex planning and queuing, and safely enjoy the beauty of nature. It is advisable to check the official announcements for the latest entry regulations before your trip.
When participating in a day tour, the main attractions within Wuling Farm are usually visited in sequence. A recommended route would be to start from the visitor center, followed by visits to the 'Garden Plaza,' 'Cherry Blossom Tunnel' (if in season), a stroll along 'Pine Forest Boulevard,' then heading to the 'Tea Garden Trail' to admire the terraced tea fields, and finally to the 'Qijiawan Creek Fish-Viewing Platform' to observe the Formosan salmon. The itinerary is planned to cover the highlights of the park, allowing you to experience the rich natural beauty within a limited time.
