The itinerary covers Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Amritsar while exploring Mughal monuments, Rajput forts, UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Sikh religious landmarks and traditional markets across multiple destinations.

The journey begins in Delhi, where you will experience both Old Delhi and New Delhi through visits to important monuments, religious sites and local market areas. Explore Chandni Chowk and the Khari Baoli Spice Market through a traditional cycle rickshaw ride while discovering the atmosphere of one of India’s oldest trading districts. Visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Lotus Temple and India Gate while learning about Delhi’s Mughal and colonial history.

Continue to Agra, home to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Visit the Taj Mahal, the white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal and recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Explore Agra Fort, the former residence of Mughal emperors known for its red sandstone walls, royal halls and courtyards. The itinerary also includes free time to explore local markets and traditional shopping streets in Agra.

While traveling from Agra to Jaipur, visit Fatehpur Sikri and Chand Baori. Fatehpur Sikri, built by Emperor Akbar as the Mughal capital, is famous for its grand gateways, courtyards and red sandstone architecture including Buland Darwaza and Jodha Bai’s Palace. Chand Baori is one of India’s oldest and deepest stepwells, known for its symmetrical staircases and geometric design.

In Jaipur, explore Rajasthan’s royal heritage through visits to Amer Fort, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Jal Mahal. The city is also known for traditional handicrafts, jewelry markets and Rajput architecture reflecting the history of Rajasthan’s royal kingdoms. Spend time at Johri Bazaar, one of Jaipur’s oldest and most popular market areas.

The journey then continues to Amritsar by train from Delhi. In Amritsar, experience the spiritual atmosphere of the Golden Temple, the holiest shrine of Sikhism and one of India’s most important religious landmarks. Witness the evening Palki Sahib ceremony and explore the langar hall, known as the world’s largest community kitchen where thousands of visitors are served meals daily regardless of religion or background.

The itinerary also includes the Wagah Border ceremony near the India-Pakistan border, a daily military tradition known for synchronized drills and patriotic performances by border security forces. Visit Jallianwala Bagh, an important historical memorial connected to India’s independence movement, before returning to Delhi.

Combining Mughal heritage, Rajput architecture, Sikh spiritual traditions, local culture and historic landmarks, this itinerary offers a detailed introduction to North India’s cultural and historical diversity.
