  • Located just a 4-minute walk from Nagoya Station. Located directly outside Exit 10 of the Unimall underground shopping mall, our street-level shop on the 1st floor accommodates up to 40 people with same-day reservations. Chiyono Pottery, Glass, and Herbarium Workshop is located just off the stylish underground shopping mall. A perfect leisure activity, even on rainy days. Perfect in between sightseeing, shopping, and a stylish lunch. ◎ This plan focuses on creating a single piece of art using a tatara-style slab, centered around a plate. It's easy to understand, and even children can easily create the shapes they envision. To create the piece, use a rolling pin on the slab to roll out a circle, square, triangle, or heart shape, then cut it out to create your piece. Create a plate or other item in the Nagoya style of the old Nagoya Castle area. The colors are beautiful! [Great Value!] In addition to the standard pottery workshop, this program also includes painting and coloring, making it a great deal! You can use 550g of Seto Kakuryu clay, a whitening cosmetic clay. *Additional quantities, sizes, and colors can be added for an additional fee. [Experience Process] We'll ask about any special requests you may have at the beginning! 1. Explanation and clay kneading (optional). 2. Pottery making (rolling out clay on a board, cutting out the shape, and raising the edges). 3. Patterning (carving and painting with a thin stick or stamp to create a picture or pattern). 4. Glazing (brushing a clear glaze over the entire piece, followed by a single coat of either green or pink glaze). 5. Pick up your piece approximately one month later. If you would like your piece shipped, please let us know on the day. This plan is designed for pottery beginners, so it's perfect for beginners and children alike. It's a fun and enjoyable experience. Located near the station, this 90-minute experience is perfect for everyone! ☆-----★-----☆-----★-----☆-----★-----☆-----★ [Chiyo's Commitment] Nagoya-style pottery making in the old Nagoya Castle area! We use local clay, firing methods, and traditional glazes, and the 400-year-old namagake technique for a unique and original experience. By applying your own patterns and colors, you can create a unique and luxurious feel. [Chiyo's Policy] We recommend that you complete your glass bead pottery experience with the goal of completing your work 100% without any mistakes. However, if you focus too much on the pattern and color, the finished product will be less complete and more likely to break. You can try, but please be careful and do so at your own risk. ☆-----★-----☆-----★-----☆-----★-----☆-----★ [Price] 4,200 yen [Experience time] Approximately 1.5 hours [Clothing] There are no specific requirements, but please wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. [Target age] Anyone, regardless of age or gender, from 3 to 80 years old, can enjoy the experience. [What to bring] There is nothing in particular, but if you are concerned about getting dirty, please bring an apron. *Rental aprons are available (an additional 400 yen).
