The flowering period may vary slightly depending on weather conditions.
The best viewing season for the Kurogi Great Wisteria typically falls between late April and early May. During this period, the wisteria blossoms are usually at their peak, offering a spectacular display of color and fragrance that visitors can fully enjoy.
While the tour primarily focuses on daytime appreciation of the Kurogi Great Wisteria, light-up events are generally held in the evenings during the peak blooming season, usually from late April to early May. These evening illuminations offer a different, enchanting perspective of the beautiful wisteria tunnels.
The Nakayama Great Wisteria is typically in its best viewing season from mid-April to early May. This period offers the most vibrant and full blooms, making it an ideal time to witness its magnificent cascading flowers. The tour is carefully scheduled to coincide with these optimal viewing dates.
The Nakayama Great Wisteria is renowned for its expansive canopy and centuries-old history. It is characterized by its incredibly long, trailing flower clusters that create a stunning natural curtain of purple. This impressive scale and the historical significance make it a cherished natural monument in the region.
For this tour, the Yanagawa River Cruise is part of the pre-arranged itinerary, so you do not need to book the cruise separately. The Yanagawa River Cruise departs from various designated boarding points along the picturesque canals of Yanagawa. For tour participants, the specific boarding pier will be communicated by your tour guide or provided in your final itinerary to ensure a smooth and convenient embarkation for your scenic river journey.
The tour includes an all-you-can-eat strawberry picking experience, providing 30 minutes to enjoy fresh strawberries directly from the farm. This allows you to savor the sweet and juicy seasonal fruits as part of your day trip.
During the tour, lunch is provided at Kamanoi Hotel Yanagawa, where you will enjoy a 'Suigo Hako Gozen.' This is a traditional Japanese set meal served in a multi-tiered box, featuring a variety of local delicacies and fresh ingredients, offering an authentic culinary experience unique to the Yanagawa region.
