  • The elephant house, one of the largest in Japan, features water areas both outdoors and indoors, ensuring the elephants can live comfortably even during Sapporo's cold winters. In August 2023, a baby elephant named Tao was born, and her daily growth is attracting much attention.
  • The new facility 'Orangutan and Borneo Forest' opened in May 2024. The indoor space, reaching up to 8 meters in height, realistically recreates the tropical environment of Borneo, where orangutans live. To maintain the plants and humidity, a squall occurs every day at 14:00 during opening hours. Enjoy the impressive moment of the squall from a sheltered area.
