Oguni Washi has been crafted in the Oguni region of Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture for generations. We handle everything from cultivating the kozo (mulberry) raw material to production, sales, and workshops like paper-making experiences. Oguni Washi is a strong and durable paper that is resistant to tearing. 【Experience Details】 Choose your favorite paper and shade shape, place the Washi paper between the molds, and run it through a letterpress machine to create fold lines. Anyone can easily create their own lamp. We use a battery-operated LED candle light as the light source. By replacing the battery, you can enjoy your Washi lamp for a long time. You can take your creation home on the day of the workshop! We invite everyone to come and try making an Oguni Washi lamp! *The Oguni Washi Production Association requires masks to be worn by customers and staff to prevent infection. Also, to avoid crowding, we will be handling customers (families or groups) at staggered times. Thank you for your understanding.
