  • Observe rare nocturnal creatures unique to Ishigaki Island, such as the coconut crab, giant hermit crab, and fruit bat! Experience the starry skies and the Milky Way in Ishigaki Island, Japan's first International Dark Sky Park, and take stunning star photos!! In addition to photos taken by our staff, we will also provide a lecture on how to take photos with your own smartphone! We will help you capture beautiful starry sky photos with your own device! 〜Tour Itinerary〜 (Start time varies by season) 19:00 Meet at Ishigakijima Glamping Resort StarOcean office Reception and distribution of equipment such as flashlights 19:15 Tour starts Travel to the site by our vehicle with a guide 19:25 Arrive at the spot Disembark and start the coconut crab search and stargazing 21:00 Tour ends, depart from the site 21:15 Return to the office Distribution of photos taken, payment processing, and dismissal at the site
  • Coconut Crab Search Experience
  • We will guide you to coconut crab spots while walking through the rocky areas near the beach, and everyone will search for these giant crabs together. You may also encounter nocturnal creatures such as the protected land hermit crab, fruit bats, owls, and fireflies, so look forward to it.
  • Stargazing, Milky Way Observation & Photography
  • While observing the starry sky from the beach depending on the weather conditions of the day, we will provide tripods for free rental upon request. Our staff will guide you on how to photograph the starry sky and the Milky Way with your own smartphone. Additionally, photos taken by our staff will be provided to you free of charge.

  • Question 2: Our shuttle service has been discontinued, so please come by rental car or other means.

Regarding the cancellation of the event:

  • The event may be canceled in case of severe weather conditions such as strong winds, heavy rain, or high waves.

Reminders

  • Participant ages: 1 to 99 years old

  • What to wear and bring: If possible, long sleeves and pants to protect against insects, beach sandals (you may have to cross the sea up to your knees), smartphone, drinks

  • Rental equipment: flashlight, insect repellent spray, raincoat, sandals, tripod for photography (all free)

  • Duration: 120 minutes (experience time 90 minutes)

  • Minimum number of participants: 1

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 3 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 2 to 2 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
  • For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
