Kendo has its roots in the martial tradition of samurai who honed their swordsmanship skills in combat. Around 400 years ago, Kenjutsu, which focused on developing sword-fighting techniques, evolved into Kendo. Samurai has been recognized for the behaviour of diligence, sincerity, and rigor. Furthermore, Samurai dedicated themselves to the benefits of all.
In our sessions, you will immerse yourself in the world of Samurai through practicing Kendo. At the dojo, learn Kendo's history and wear an authentic uniform. You learn proper form and practice striking with a bamboo sword. The dojo has a variety of samurai artifacts and memorabilia.

  • Children under 2 years old cannot try Kendo. Services for children between the ages of 3 and 5 mainly consist of photo shoots. You can't have the same experience as an adult. We kindly request advance notice if you will be accompanied by children aged 3 to 5, as uniforms will be required.

  • Please note that our experiences are generally conducted in English. Should you prefer a session in Japanese, please inform us in advance.
