Welcome to the MANIAC world of insects!

Insects are the largest group of organisms, accounting for approximately one million species, more than half of all reported species on Earth.

Most insects are tiny, measuring less than 1 cm in length, but they are incredibly diverse and varied, from their physical structure to their behavior and abilities. There are countless insects in the world that have yet to be seen, and even our familiar environments hold the potential for new species and new discoveries.

This exhibition combines the maniacal perspectives of researchers from the National Museum of Nature and Science, maniacal insect specimens selected by the researchers, and the latest insect research, to explore the astonishing and undiscovered world of insects*, including not only familiar insects such as rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles, but also spiders and centipedes.
