Ho Chi Minh City generally has good safety conditions and is a popular tourist destination. However, like any large city, travelers are advised to remain vigilant, especially in crowded tourist areas or night markets. It's important to safeguard personal belongings, avoid displaying valuables, and be aware of your surroundings. Having a guide accompany you during tours can enhance your sense of security.
When exploring by motorcycle or traveling independently, it's essential to obey traffic rules and wear a helmet. Avoid going to secluded areas alone at night. Keep valuables like your wallet and phone secure and watch out for pickpockets. Be extra careful when crossing the street due to heavy traffic. Joining a guided motorcycle tour ensures you are familiar with the routes and provides immediate assistance, allowing you to explore the city with more peace of mind.
