Pick-up/Drop off at customer's hotel: We will pick you up at your hotel in District 1 center including Bui Thi Xuan, Le Lai, Nguyen Trai (partial), Ton That Tung, Pham Ngu Lao, Bui Vien, Do Quang Dau, Phan Chu Trinh, Ly Tu Trong, Le Thanh Ton, Hai Ba Trung, Nguyen Hue, Dong Khoi, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Thai Binh, Vo Van Kiet, and surrounding areas. DAY 1: HO CHI MINH CITY - MY THO – VINH TRANG PAGODA - THOI SON ISLAND (Lunch)
Our guide will pick you up at your hotel (District 1) or our office (203 De Tham Street).
Visit the iconic Vinh Trang Pagoda, the largest pagoda in the Mekong Delta, renowned for its impressive architecture, peaceful gardens, and blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer influences. Upon arrival in My Tho, we will embark on a boat trip along the Mekong River, where you can observe fish cages and floating houses. The boat will take you to Coconut Island in My Tho, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of the town.
We will stop at a local family's home to enjoy tropical fruits and taste honey tea and honey wine. Additionally, you'll visit a village coconut candy shop, where you can learn how to make candy and see handicrafts made from coconut trees. Take a stroll through the village to admire the fruits, flowers, trees, local houses, children, and the warm hospitality of the people. Next, we will travel to a music spot by tram or horse-drawn carriage, where you will enjoy the melodies of Southern singers, a unique aspect of the culture and art of the Mekong people. For a fun experience, we will take a 20-minute ride in a three-leaf sampan through the small creeks.
Having lunch is a set with special Vietnamese food. Following lunch, relax, go for a walk, or bicycle around the area. We’ll then travel back to the river ferry and head to Can Tho city.
DAY 2: CAN THO – FLOATING MARKET – CON SON ISLET + KHMER PAGODA / VINH KHANH ECO (Lunch)
After breakfast, take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the lower Mekong River. After proceeding to visit the Cai Rang floating market, which is the liveliest in the whole region. Take in the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong Delta and roam through a rice noodle-making shop.
Visit Son Islet, an islet in the middle of the Hau River that is divided from the mainland nearby and is home to year-round alluvial consolidating green orchids as well as the kind, affable, and enthusiastic people. Experience the process of making "cốm nổ" and enjoy sweet popped rice. Then, check out the areca trees and the beautiful village roads. Visit the fruit garden: Guests can freely take photos, check in, enjoy fresh fruits straight from the garden, and have refreshing drinks. (The tour guide will offer options depending on the season.) After the garden visit, the group transfers to a local homestay, where the following activities take place: Enjoy traditional local cakes, taste herbal cooling drink (sâm), relive childhood with shaved ice treats.
Having lunch is a set with special Vietnamese food. Then, head back to Ho Chi Minh City.
