When the best time to see the wisteria is from late April to early May, about 22 different kinds of wisteria flowers are in full bloom, and the large wisteria trellis of about 1,000 tsubo (about 1,000 m2), covered with Nodacho wisteria, is a spectacular sight. The main attraction is the two types of wisteria flower tunnels, one 80 m long and the other 110 m long. The glossy gradation of colorful clusters of light purple, white, pink, and other colors in the tunnel is mesmerizing to behold. The fragrance of wisteria in the park is also soothing, allowing visitors to enjoy wisteria with all their senses.
Mojiko Port
Mojiko is a port town located in Kitakyushu City. Mojiko boasted prosperity from the Meiji era (1868-1912) to the early Showa era (1926-1989), and was counted as one of the three major ports in Japan.
