Forest Adventure is a nature-friendly outdoor park originating from France, with over 40 locations across Japan. Wearing a special harness and operating safety equipment yourself, you'll walk through a treetop activity built on top of natural standing trees, and finally slide down a zipline. The activities at Forest Adventure Fuji are structured on a timed schedule. With 11 sites and 91 different activities, the duration can vary depending on the chosen course. Typically, a full circuit can take a few hours. There are courses designed for different age groups, including a kids' course, allowing families to enjoy the treetop athletics at their own pace.
For Forest Adventure Fuji, it's recommended to wear comfortable, athletic clothing suitable for outdoor activities and movement. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are essential for safety and comfort. Guests will be provided with a special harness and safety equipment on-site. It's also advisable to consider the weather conditions and bring a light jacket or rain gear if needed, as activities are conducted outdoors.
To reach Forest Adventure Fuji, visitors typically travel to the Kawaguchiko area first. Common transportation options include express buses from major cities like Shinjuku in Tokyo, or trains connecting to Fujikyu-Kawaguchiko Station. From Kawaguchiko, local buses or taxis can take you directly to the Forest Adventure Fuji park. It serves as a convenient base for accessing attractions around Mount Fuji.
Without a car, visitors can effectively utilize the comprehensive local bus network around the Kawaguchiko area, which includes sightseeing buses that stop at various attractions, including those near Forest Adventure Fuji. Taxis are also readily available for more direct routes. For nearby facilities like the Kawaguchiko Field Center, it's conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the park.
While traditional taxi services are widely available and commonly used in the Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko areas, international ride-sharing services like Uber are generally not as prevalent or widely accessible compared to major urban centers in Japan. For convenient travel to Forest Adventure Fuji, relying on local taxis or the established bus routes from Fujikyu-Kawaguchiko Station is recommended.
Kawaguchiko bus fares typically vary depending on the distance traveled and the specific bus route, such as the sightseeing loop buses. Single-ride tickets are available for direct trips, and visitors can also consider purchasing day passes for unlimited rides, which can be a cost-effective option for exploring multiple attractions in the area. Detailed fare information and pass options are usually displayed at bus stops and available on the local bus company's official website.
Forest Adventure Fuji is uniquely situated at the foot of Mount Fuji, immersed in magnificent nature. While the park's primary focus is on treetop activities within the forest, guests can often catch impressive glimpses of the majestic Mount Fuji from various vantage points within the park, especially on clear weather days. The experience highlights being surrounded by the natural beauty of the forest itself.
Beyond the treetop athletics, Forest Adventure Fuji offers a full-scale mountain bike trail and a campsite, providing options for extended outdoor enjoyment. Additionally, the Kawaguchiko Field Center is just a 15-minute walk away, offering opportunities for nature learning through guided walks and crafts. This allows visitors to combine adventurous play with educational experiences in the natural setting at the foot of Mount Fuji.
