— What You Can Expect —

Visit Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, the island’s first ethical sanctuary in the North East of the island. Begin your visit with an educational video to prepare you for your encounter with the rescued elephants. Embark on Thailand’s longest canopy walkway, stretching 500 meters, where you’ll observe the elephants roaming, foraging, and bathing freely in their natural habitat below.

The Half-Day Experience also includes a chance to explore the 30-acre sanctuary grounds, where you can observe the elephants up close. As you explore the sanctuary, knowledgeable guides will share the inspiring stories of each elephant, providing fascinating insights into their lives and the importance of elephant conservation. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of why ethical tourism is essential to their protection.

During your visit, you’ll also have the opportunity to visit Phuket's first elephant hospital where we provide professional veterinary care for our resident elephants and others from across Southern Thailand. Afterward, enjoy a refreshing iced soda and unlimited snacks (Canopy Walkway Tour) or a delicious vegetarian Thai meal (Half-Day Experience).

1. Half-Day Elephant Sanctuary Experience With Vegetarian Meal (With Shared Roundtrip Transfers)

- Duration: ~5 hours (including hotel transfers)
- Program Available: 09:30 am-1:00 pm / 1:30 pm-5:00 pm

• 08:00 am-08:30 am/12:00 pm-12:30 pm: Pick-up at your accommodation in Phuket
• 09:30 am/1:30 pm: Arrival at the meeting Point in Paklok, followed by transfer to the Sanctuary with complimentary snacks, fruit, coffee, juices, soft drinks, and water
• 10:00 am/2:00 pm: Watch an insightful documentary that introduces you to the incredible world of Asian elephants
• 10:20 am/3:45 pm: Visit Phuket's first elephant hospital and learn about veterinary care
• 10:40 am/2:20 pm: Explore the Sanctuary to observe elephants as they roam, forage, bathe, and socialize freely. Learn about each elephant’s story from our tour guides and walk along Thailand’s longest canopy walkway for a bird’s-eye view
• 12:00 pm/4:00 pm: Savor a delicious vegetarian Thai lunch buffet with over 15 tempting dishes to choose from
• 1:00 pm:/5:00 pm Return to the meeting point and enjoy a comfortable transfer back to your accommodation

• Phuket Elephant Sanctuary operates as a 100% hands-off sanctuary since April 2026
  
• Packages with shared round-trip transfers include free hotel pick-up and drop-off services across all of Phuket
• For packages without shared round-trip transfers, please meet at the designated meeting point in Paklok (Map)
• Pickup times may vary depending on your hotel's location. The exact pick-up time, up to 90 minutes prior to the program starting time, will be confirmed after booking
  
• Please wear comfortable clothing to walk in, and bring a hat and sunscreen for protection
  
• This trip is not recommended for individuals in poor physical health. Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to join the tour
