KKday recommends this 'Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area' and Sha Tau Kok Farm day tour for you!
Located in the North District of the New Territories, Sha Tau Kok borders Yantian District, Shenzhen, and was designated as a frontier closed area in 1951. With the gradual opening of the district, Sha Tau Kok has transformed into a great destination for local day trips. This is a rare opportunity to explore a hidden gem in Hong Kong that requires a closed area permit to enter!
You can also head to Sha Tau Kok Farm to see small animals, visit the railway station exhibition hall, DIY Hakka tea kueh, and enjoy an all-you-can-eat BBQ lunch, experiencing the fun of hands-on activities!
