The Lake Biwa Canal Boat will operate using the current waterworks facilities, and there are detailed restrictions on boarding.
To ensure a safe operation, please be sure to check the following items before boarding the ship.
In addition, the boarding area utilizes facilities that were constructed during the Meiji period, and there are some steps and narrow passageways, etc. Please apply only if you can board and disembark by yourself or if there are no obstacles to boarding.
・The schedule is tentative and subject to change.
・All photos are for illustrative purposes only.
・The event may be cancelled in the event of bad weather.
・If you do not make it to the meeting time, we will refuse you boarding for safety and operational reasons. In that case, you will not be able to change to another trip or a different day's trip. Thank you for your understanding.
・Please wear life jackets provided on site while on board.
・Please note that seats will be assigned by the captain or shore staff on the day of boarding to ensure safe operation.
・The seat size is 460mm wide and 420mm deep.
・The temperature inside the tunnels on the route is lower than on the ground (approximately -5°C), so please wear warm clothing to regulate your body temperature.
・We recommend that you bring a raincoat or rain jacket in preparation for rainy weather. Although the boat has a roof, rain may get in from the front or through gaps. For safety reasons, umbrellas are prohibited.
・Eating and drinking are prohibited except at designated places within the boarding and disembarking area. Drinking and smoking are also prohibited.
・There is no parking lot, so please use public transportation.
・Large baggage such as suitcases cannot be brought on board.
*As a guideline, up to one small suitcase that can be carried on board an aircraft is permitted.
*We cannot store luggage.
・Pets are not allowed on board. We cannot accept pets for check-in.
・Please answer the questionnaire.
