Airport Express Round-Trip Ticket QR Code Validity: The outbound journey must be used within the specified validity period; the return journey must be used within 30 days from the outbound travel date.
There are no ticket gates at Hong Kong International Airport. If you take the ride from the airport, simply scan your QR Code at your exit destination
If the voucher cannot be used properly, please do not scan the same QR Code repeatedly to avoid affecting its validity.
Before scanning your QR Code at the turnstiles, please ensure your electronic voucher is open and turn up your phone screen brightness to improve scanning success.
Please do not add the electronic voucher to Apple Wallet, Samsung Pay, or other digital wallets. Additionally, please be mindful of your Mobile Octopus or other contactless payment functions to prevent accidental scanning and unintended charges.
If any issues occur when scanning the QR Code at the gates (including the gate failing to read the QR Code, the gate not responding, or accidental charges made via Octopus or other payment methods), please do not rescan the QR Code or switch to another payment method to enter. Please seek immediate assistance from station staff for an on-site check.
If immediate assistance is not available, please retain all relevant supporting documents (including but not limited to station staff assistance records, Octopus transaction history, and on-site photos) for subsequent verification purposes.
If customers do not report and resolve the issue with station staff on-site, and instead proceed to complete their journey using Octopus or other payment methods, we will be unable to verify the actual circumstances of use at that time. Consequently, requests for refunds or compensation arising from this will not be accepted.
If verification confirms that the electronic voucher is working normally, and the charges in question were generated by the passenger's own use of Octopus or other payment methods, no refunds or compensation will be provided.
Child tickets are only available for children ages 3–11; proof of age is required when boarding
Airport Express passengers can use the In-town Check-in Service offered by Cathay Pacific Airways from 6:00 am–3:00 pm at Hong Kong Station
Each QR code corresponds to 1 passenger; you will receive 1 QR code for 1 traveler, 2 QR codes for 2, etc.
For round-trip tickets, use the same QR code for the return trip
There are hotels providing shuttle bus service to and from Airport Express Hong Kong or Kowloon Station, passengers may use the hotel shuttle waiting area to take the shuttle bus. More details: https://www.mtr.com.hk/en/customer/services/hotel-shuttle-service.html. Shuttle service between Airport Express and Hong Kong/Kowloon Stations has been terminated since April 2020
If the one-way/round-trip ticket cannot be used due to personal reasons, the ticket will not be refunded
The e-voucher can be redeemed for the Hong Kong Airport Express, traveling between the airport and your selected station: Tsing Yi, Kowloon, or Hong Kong Station. Available as a one-way or round-trip ticket, with departure and arrival stations fixed according to the chosen package and cannot be changed. If you choose a different station, any fare difference will apply: using a higher-priced ticket for a lower-priced fare will not result in a refund, while using a lower-priced ticket for a higher-priced fare requires payment of the difference.
