A sophisticated time savoring the 'Fujiya Hotel Cuisine'
This restaurant is a restoration of the former 'Cascade Room' banquet hall, built in 1920. The carvings and stained glass are original to the time of construction, and the transom carvings depict scenes of Hakone and travelers on the Tokaido road during the Edo period, with each piece holding its own story. For your meal, you can enjoy 'Fujiya Hotel Cuisine,' which recreates classic Western-style recipes such as 'Beef Curry' and 'Rainbow Trout Fujiya Style.' Why not enjoy a lunch time in this classic atmosphere?
The venue, named "Cascade" after the small waterfall that was one of the views from the window, was used as a place to hold dance parties when the building was constructed in 1920, and was restored as a restaurant in the newly constructed building on July 15, 2020. The stained glass depicting the lush greenery of Hakone was imported from abroad. The transom is also decorated with images of travelling along the Tokaido in the Edo period, famous Japanese places, traditional events, ancient Japanese cherry blossom viewing, and Edo scenery.
Restaurant Cascade serves a variety of Western dishes with a nostalgic taste that have been loved for a long time. Among them, the most popular is "curry". The oldest existing menu mentions it from 1915. It is said that the dish "curry" first became popular in Japan during the Taisho era. Therefore, Fujiya Hotel's curry may have been ahead of its time. We offer a variety of curries, including chicken, crab, and pork cutlet curry.
Restaurant Cascade joined the Fujiya Hotel restaurant family after its reopening on July 15, 2020. Guests can enjoy a traditional Western menu in a venue that has been restored from an old banquet hall from the Taisho era. While cherishing the spirit of "sincerity" passed down from our predecessors, we also strive to provide food and service that suits modern tastes. Please enjoy a pleasant time in this restaurant that combines a classic yet friendly atmosphere.

Dining time is limited. If you're late and therefore shorten the dining time, the dining time cannot be extended.
