- Amanohashidate
Amanohashidate is one of the ""Three Great Views of Japan. Amanohashidate is a work of natural art created by the Noda River, which originates from Mt. Oe, and the Sea of Japan. Its mystical beauty, white sandy beaches, and green pine forests are truly spectacular. About 8,000 pine trees grow on the sandy beach of the 3.6-km bridge.

If you turn your back to Amanohashidate and lean forward to view this amazing terrain from between your legs, it looks like a bridge crossing the heavens. One of these areas is called Miyama, which means beautiful mountains. Kayabuki no Sato is a mountain village in Kyoto that has preserved the centuries old method of maintaining traditional thatched roof houses.
At the Snow Lantern Festival, snow covered rooftops are illuminated with lights, creating a wonderful sight.
Snow lanterns handmade by participants and flower lanterns (electric lights) that beautifully illuminate the village will create a fantastic winter scene in Miyama Kayabuki no Sato.
