When there is a substantial rain event, flooding occurs, and the river will close to oyster harvesting if the water quality is deemed unsafe for human consumption. When the river is closed oyster farmers cannot harvest oysters
If there is light rain, we will run the tour. If we deem it not viable due to heavy rain, wind or thunderstorms, we will contact you one or two days prior to reschedule the tour on another day, conduct a land-based tour or a refund depending on what you prefer

Dogs are allowed in the main Shellar Door area but they are not allowed on the boat or in the pearl grading room. Both areas form part of the tours we offer. If you are booked on a private tour, you may bring your dog if safe to do so. Please call +61 (0)488 361 042 prior to confirm
Oysters by the dozen can be purchased on the day or can be preordered, subject to availability, however the ice are not available onsite so please bring a cooler bag or esky, if travelling
Boats are equipped with a canopy for shade and wet weather. However, it is recommend bringing a hat and or poncho depending on weather as the sides are not covered and sun/water can come in from the angle
