Like a Ghibli world, the island of "Tomogashima" blends nature and ruins in a mystical fusion

It is a group of uninhabited islands consisting of four islands located exactly halfway between Kada, Wakayama City, and Awaji Island.
One of those islands, "Okinoshima," features ruins such as the remains of the third battery, offering a world reminiscent of anime settings. Scattered with ruins that are described as "just like a Ghibli world," it has gained strong support from enthusiasts of abandoned places and anime fans.
Moreover, it is also attractive for its abundant nature, allowing outdoor activities such as camping and fishing.
*On the tour, we will guide you to "Nakanoshima," one of the four islands.

A local guide will guide you through the charm of Tomogashima!

Explore former Japanese military facilities, battery remnants, and observation decks with a local guide! We will provide clear explanations of the history and highlights.
[Planned Itinerary]
Nonaura Pier → Third Battery Remnants → Takano's Mountain Observation Deck → Approximately 2 kilometers from Nonaura Pier.

*You are also free to explore (walk around) on your own, completely separate from the group.
[Regarding Cancellations of Tomogashima Ferry Service]

If the boat is canceled, regardless of whether it is before or after departure, a local guide will guide you from Kada Port to Awashima Shrine or Miyama No. 1 Battery Ruins.
In such cases, a refund of 1,800 yen will be provided as the ferry fare. (Same amount for adults and children)

A tourist fish market where seasonal seafood from all over Japan gathers.
We also have Wakayama prefecture products such as local Wakayama coastal fish and salted dried fish!
In addition to enjoying fresh seafood rice bowls, you can also enjoy barbecues.
There is also "Kishu Kuroshio Onsen" (separate fee) to heal your tired body!
Enjoy the view of Wakanoura from the large public bath and the open-air bath with the refreshing sea breeze.

Purchase Notice

This tour is a Japanese tour. The tour conductor will provide language support using a translator (Pocket Talk).
This is not a private tour, you will enjoy the tour with other guests.
If the minimum number of participants (25) is not met by (7) days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date might be canceled.
Drinking alcohol on the bus is prohibited.
Please note that odd-numbered groups will, in principle, share seats on the bus
The order of the itinerary may be partially changed.
Because you may walk in places with bad footing, please participate in clothes and shoes that are easy to move. We also recommend wearing non-slip shoes as there is a lot of climbing up and down the stone steps.
Long sleeves, long pants, and sports shoes are recommended. (To prevent insect bites and sunburn)

Reminders

  • Important Notes During Bus Tour

  • We ask for your cooperation in refraining from drinking alcohol on the bus.

  • To the members of the odd-numbered group: Please be informed that you may have to share seats with other passengers on the bus.

  • As it is stipulated by the law of Japan, please wear your seat belt on the tour bus.

  • Please do not stand up or walk while the tour bus is running.

  • Seating on the bus is assigned by H.I.S staff, please do not change your seat during the tour.

  • Please kindly be punctual and arrive at the designated meeting place on time. The bus will leave on time and will not wait for latecomers.

  • If latecomers wish to rejoin the group again afterward, all transportation fees will be at the customer's own expense.

  • Please kindly put on the sticker which will be given to you by the tour guide during the tour, make sure it can be seen clearly.

  • Please do not stick it on leather goods as seal marks may remain.

  • Please do not use the seat reclining function or change the seat setting.

  • Please kindly switch all your electronic devices such as mobile phones and game machines etc. to manner mode with no sound.

  • Talking on mobile phones and video calls are prohibited on the tour bus.

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited on the tour bus.

  • Arrival time at each sightseeing sport may differ depending on traffic conditions.

  • Use of drones for shooting or other purposes is prohibited during the tour.

  • Please do not use perfume, spray or change baby diapers on the bus, as it may cause trouble to other customers.

  • Please kindly manage your valuable belongings by yourself.

  • After the tour, please kindly take all the garbage with you and do not leave them on the bus.

  • Please do not forget and leave any personal belongings on the bus after the tour.

  • In regards to the fruit picking tour, please note that it is consumable only within the farm. Bringing it home in your own bag is strictly prohibited.

  • If you are unable to follow the above regulations and cause any nuisance on the bus, you may be asked to get off the bus even in the middle of the tour.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 11 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 8 to 10 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 20% will apply
  • For cancellations made 2 to 7 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 30% will apply
  • For cancellations made 1 to 1 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 40% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
