Access to the Tasman Glacier and Mt. Cook plane tour typically begins from a designated departure point in the Aoraki/Mt. Cook region. You will receive a briefing and be fitted with necessary gear before taking a scenic helicopter flight that lands directly on the Tasman Glacier, providing direct access to the hiking area.
