Spend a day out of the city with this adventure that presents sights of the wilderness, the sea, and wine regions. 

Start your day by driving through the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, where you'll witness fantastic views of the South Australia coast. 

Then, you'll be on your way to Victor Harbor, where you can stroll across the Granite Island causeway for more views of the ocean. Your captain will be waiting for you to board a seal-watching cruise. On this 45-minute cruise, you'll go past the Waitpinga Cliffs and have the opportunity to spot sea lions, dolphins, and an array of seabirds. The highlight of the cruise around the island is, of course, the Australian sea lions and long-nosed fur seals!

The last leg of your tour takes you to McLaren Vale, where you'll stop by d’Arenberg Cube, a unique tactile and sensory winery experience. Stop by its wine sensory room, virtual fermenter, and other experiences in the Alternate Realities Museum.

You'll next swing by the eco-friendly Gemtree Winery for a tour of its eco wetlands trail. Learn about how the area has been restored to maintain the local ecology, with koalas and echidnas calling the region home. After, get ready for a progressive wine tasting experience, which will enlighten you on the biodynamic practices involved in creating a bottle of Gemtree wine. End the sampling with a Vintner’s produce platter and sprawling vineyard views!

  • Note that the 45-minute boat cruise is operated by Big Duck boat tours. The maximum passenger capacity (27) is higher than that of the rest of pureSA tours. This cruise operates in the open ocean and wind and ocean swells can cause bumpy conditions. This cruise may be canceled in inclement weather. The boat cruise is not recommended for pregnant women
