The instructor was excellent and spoke English. The kids thoroughly enjoyed making pineapple cakes as souvenirs. The experience cost about the same as buying a box of pineapple cakes on-site; for the same price, you get on-site instruction, photos, and a DIY experience, making it well worth it overall.
