Accessing the Jetfoil Toppy in Kagoshima was easy and given the clear and precise instructions, allowed seamless transportation to Yakushima Island. We were met by our host, Koki who provided us with a safe, informative tour of the Yakusugi cedars. Along the way we saw many Yaku monkeys warming themselves on the road. Koki provided us with a delicious lunch wrapped in a large bamboo leaf which was truly delicious! He provided us with hot drinks that were a special treat especially as the rain began to fall. The rain allowed us to experience first hand the Shiratani Unsuikyo. The many different varieties of moss was another delight! Wish we had more time on Yakushima!!!
