Our tour guide, Mandy, would send a message the day beforehand regarding the meeting time and location. After departure, she would introduce important information and sightseeing details on the bus (in English and Chinese), and remember each group of guests. Boarding was quick, and she was quick to handle any unexpected situations. At Oshino Hakkai, she took everyone to the best photo spot, where we successfully took pictures with the shy Mount Fuji – a very happy moment (though time flew by, and it was time to meet again). When there was traffic, she would inform us about road conditions and chat about life in Japan. The driver would also greet the passengers.
Because we had children aged 5-6, we chose the KKDAY one-day tour. The transportation was by minibus for a mini-group of four people. There were travelers from India, the US, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Our guide, Bobo, sent a letter the day before and also contacted us via LINE or WhatsApp on the day of the tour, providing information about the attractions. The guided tour was conducted in both English and Chinese, and Bobo was very friendly, providing background information on the attractions and recommending nearby restaurants. The area around Eshima Shrine was really nice, with the shrine and the sea. Arriving on a Saturday morning, it wasn't crowded and had a very charming old town. The Hakone day tour included a boat and cable car ride, incorporating three modes of transportation. The cable car goes directly to Owakudani, which is convenient. It was a good tour route, the only downside being that the minibus driver kept flooring the accelerator or driving like a frozen log, making it feel a bit rushed.
Thanks to our tour guide Lai Lai for her professional guidance, friendly service, and detailed explanations. We were also very lucky to have such great weather, which allowed us to enjoy the snow-white Mount Fuji, the Lake Ashi cruise, the Hakone Ropeway, and the sunset over the Shonan coast where Enoshima is located. We had a wonderful time seeing both the mountain and the sea.
The tour guide arranged the itinerary well and was very enthusiastic in introducing the attractions to us. The service was also excellent. Thank you to tour guide Zhang for your thoughtful service.
