Rita, our guide, is very responsible. She ensures that everyone arrives and kept checking in on us. The coach bus is small, which can be uncomfortable for long rides but luckily the journey isn’t too long. We enjoyed the trip!
As a solo traveller, i felt safe on this tour, which covered so many places. Our entertaining guide, Oscar, is effectively trilingual - switching between English, Japanese, and Mandarin with ease. There is a 2 hour interval at Otaru, with enough time to have a quick lunch and self-explore the canals, venetian glass museum, music box museum, and a street full of beautiful shops. It's a tour i would highly recommend if you want a bang for your buck!
The car was already waiting at the door 10 minutes before the appointment. They first discussed the day's itinerary with us, offering suggestions and adjustments, which made it a very pleasant and wonderful experience.
The Tenguyama summit observation deck offers panoramic views of Otaru's cityscape and houses the Tengu Museum, providing insights into tengu culture from across Japan. The Tenguyama Shrine is also nearby, nestled in beautiful woods. After dark, the city's night view is exceptionally enchanting, making it a must-see attraction.
Unlike roaming, it doesn't lag when used; the experience is quite good. It's worth buying if it's cheap. The card seems to have a phone number on it, but I haven't tested it by calling yet. It would be even better if I could leave my phone number to make restaurant reservations.
