Taking the tour bus from Osaka is very convenient. The tour leader will be waiting for you at the agreed-upon point on time and will explain the precautions on the bus beforehand to avoid wasting unnecessary time on-site and to maximize your time playing in the snow. In addition to the basic equipment, you can purchase extra gear on-site if you don't want to prepare in advance, making it a great choice for families and beginners.
It's a good place for beginners, and the price isn't too expensive. There are lockers in the changing rooms, but you need to bring your own glasses, gloves, and hat. Remember to bring waterproof gloves!
The staff member, Basang, was very friendly and carefully explained all the precautions with great detail and patience! The snow in the Rokko Mountain ski resort's play area was a bit too hard, and although the children struggled to dig, they still didn't want to leave. The facilities and environment in the hot spring area were also very nice, and the limited-time strawberry soft serve was delicious!
The ski resort isn't too crowded, making it perfect for families with young children who want to play in the snow and enjoy snow tubing. Nara Park is teeming with deer, and the kids had a blast. The drivers and guides were very friendly, making it a highly recommended destination for families with children aged 3-6.
We opted for a hotel-pickup day trip to Osaka, and it was more comfortable than we expected. The travel agency arranged a very spacious seven-seater vehicle. We first went shopping at an outlet mall, with plenty of time. Afterwards, we had ample time to soak in the hot springs and stroll through the onsen town at Arima Onsen Roku. In the evening, we went to Mount Rokko to see the night view, which I honestly thought was even more beautiful than the night view from Hakodate in Hokkaido.
