Izu, Shizuoka, Japan | Izu Cactus Zoo e-ticket
2026/04/15
We purchased e-tickets through KKday before entering the park. On-site, we simply exchanged the QR code for a physical ticket at the ticket window, making the process quick and convenient. Although the park isn't large, it boasts a wide variety of animals, and the overall layout is well-planned, preventing any feeling of crowding or confusion. The most memorable sight was the fennec fox – it was truly adorable. There's also an interactive animal area where you can get up close to rabbits, hedgehogs, and other small animals, which is very appealing to children. The park is clean and tidy, and you can feel the staff's attentive care for the animals. Overall, it's a small but enriching attraction, perfect for family trips.

A day trip to Mount Omuro in Izu, Japan | Atami coastline or ocean-view train, Mount Omuro cable car or cactus zoo, Kinosaki coast, stroll through Ito Marin town | Departing from Tokyo

The minibus went directly from Atami to Mt. Omuro, which was great because there were no transfers. I was really lucky to see the snow-capped Mount Fuji for the first time from Mt. Omuro. The tour guide was very nice and spoke excellent Chinese, Korean, English, and Japanese, but he seemed more like a driver than a guide. I highly recommend this trip!
